CH Pet Gifts is a pet boutique located in the historic City Hall building downtown Sun Prairie Wisconsin.  Our original name was City Hall Pet Gifts, but when we decided to open a web store we thought abbreviating City Hall to CH would be more fitting.  Visit our store web site at www.CityHallPetGifts.com.

How it all started:

6 years ago I purchased a bandana from a big chain store as a Christmas present for my sisters yellow lab Mille.  When my sister opened the present she held up the bandana, turned it around a few times and said “you could make those”.  At that time I did just a little sewing, mainly baby clothes for nieces and nephews. 

Her comment really got her thinking, so the next time I was shopping for fabric I picked up a few yards of a cotton print fabric, and made my first bandana.  Within a couple of weeks I had made quite the collection of bandanas for both my own dog Amiga, and my sisters dog Mille.  My sister’s friends started to notice Mille’s bandanas, and were asking if I could make some for their dogs.  This is when it all started.

My very first web site was just a couple of simple web pages with pictures of fabric, which eventually evolved to a web site with online ordering of bandanas.  With time I started adding other products such as toys, treats and collars.  Besides the online store I would attend gift/craft shows around the holidays but after a couple of years of that I was ready to take the next step of opening a brick and mortar store.

In August 2007 City Hall Pet Gifts opened downtown Sun Prairie.  Because we’re located on a busy street corner we get a lot of customers from out of town stopping in.  This led us to opening the web store so people both close and far can shop our store.
